- K Vac BD-ND is produced with high titering strain of
Infectious Bursal disease (IBD) & Newcastle disease
virus, derived from embryonated chicken's egg, suspended
in a stable oil emulsion. A large amount of antigen is
provided in a (1/2 ml) 0.5 ml dose.
- When injected, the oil emulsion controls the absorption
of the virus and greatly enhances the development of high
levels of immunity.
|
|
|
Each dose contains not less than a pre-inactivation
titer of 109EID50 of Newcastle disease
virus and 106.2 TCID50 IBD virus.
|
|
|
- K Vac BD-ND has been developed for use in chickens
and breeder hens to give broad protection against Newcastle
disease and Infectious Bursal disease (Gumboro disease).
When injected, the vaccine produces a high level of circulating
antibody (humoral immunity) which is maintained through
out the production cycle.
- It provides high level of immunity in the progeny.
This is the only way to provide protection to the chick
during the critical first few days of life. Early infection
with IBD (Gumboro disease) causes permanent damage to
the immune system (immunosuppression) and leaves the flock
susceptible to many other diseases.
|
|
|
- K Vac BD-ND is completely safe because it contains
no living virus. It can safely be administered at any
age.
- It can not spread from vaccinated to susceptible flocks
or be transmitted from dams to progeny. It provides high
and persistent levels of antibody in the dams to provide
parental immunity to the progeny.
- Newcastle disease and IBD immunity are delivered to
the farm with the chicks.

|
- Birds should be "primed" with live virus
for Bursal disease and Newcastle disease vaccine at least
4 weeks prior to the use of this vaccine.
- Vaccinate with K Vac BD-ND at 16 to 20 weeks of age.
If birds are held for a second year, revaccinate during
molt.
- Dosage is 1/2 ml (0.5 ml) per bird.
- Vaccine should be brought to room temperature (+18°C
to +20°C) before use.
- Inject subcutaneously in the lower neck region or intramuscularly
in to the chest muscle or leg using aseptic technique.
Inject all birds in flock.
|
|
|
- Shake well before and during administration.
- Vaccinate only healthy birds.
- To avoid loss in efficacy and to prevent contamination,
use entire contents of bottles when first opened.
- Do not vaccinate during 42 days before slaughter.
- All used bottles and unused content should be disposed
safely.

Store between + 2°C ( 35°F) to 7°C (45°F).
Do not freeze.
